All of our staff and foster carers have enjoyed taking part in Foster Care Fortnight 2018, but figures released by The Fostering Network show that around 8,000 more foster families are needed to meet the number of children and young people needing them in 2018 alone.
We have focussed on fostering teenagers and sibling groups in the past and these are the groups that The Fostering Network suggest are in particular need of placements. You can read some testimonials from our foster carers at the links below.
Nexus Fostering has a number of offices across central England, enabling us to work closely with the foster carers in these areas, but also allowing children in those areas to stay close to home where necessary. This helps children and young people maintain important bonds with friends and family, and stay in schools they know to continue their education.

Looking after fostered children, many of whom who have experienced trauma, abuse or neglect, can be challenging. But it is that challenge, along with the reward of seeing these children and young people flourish, that many foster carers say makes them proud to foster.”
Paul Corner of Nexus Fostering in Hornchurch said, “As an agency, we get thousands of referrals for children [needing a placement] a week. Unfortunately we might not have the right home in the right place at that time but the more carers we have, the more children we can help.”
