More About Nexus Care+
Nexus Care+ provides specialist wraparound placements for children and young people with complex attachment problems and challenging behaviours. These children are likely to have experienced significant early neglect and traumatic episodes including multiple placement disruptions. Nexus Care+ foster carers learn to respond therapeutically, becoming effective and resilient in their work with challenging behaviour and emotional trauma. This provides consistency, safety and security so the child or young person can settle, grow and thrive. More information can be found in this booklet.
All local authority social workers receive detailed and professional reports for each child in placement with Nexus Foster Carers, using the ‘Five Outcomes of Every Child Matters’, summarising key events, achievements and any recommendations.
We specialise in making placements on a permanent basis and have an excellent record of making successful permanent placements as well as converting short-term placements into permanent ones. Nexus Fostering can provide a wide range of additional services, such as:

- Therapeutic support
The most important thing for us is the outcome for looked after children. To this end, children and young people are provided with easily accessible and helpful information before they move to the Foster Carers. This helps them settle into their foster home and understand how their Foster Carers will look after them.
