Looking for something to do with your foster children in Birmingham this summer?
Look no further than The Big Hoot Trail!
Wild in Art have partnered with the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and commissioned artists from wide and far to design quirky and colourful owl sculptures which are placed all over the City which have been on display since 20 July and will be on this public trail until 27 September.
The trail goes from the City Centre to Sutton Coldfield; Winson Green to Bournville and lots of parks and landmarks in between. Each owl has been sponsored by a local business and the plan is for the owls to be auctioned off on 15th October with all proceeds going to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
Wild in Art have also engaged with local schools who have created 120 ‘owlets’ which are also displayed across the city and have their own separate ‘Little Hoots’ trail.
There are 89 stunning owl sculptures to find and following the trail is free as well as a great way to get active and fill a day (or two) of the summer holidays with your foster children.
