We are proud to be new sponsors of the under 7’s Houghton Athletic football team! The Bedfordshire-based boys are now wearing a new strip following the sponsorship and are looking forward to a season of proudly sporting it.
Joanne Heathcote, Team Manager of the Nexus Fostering Three Counties office said:
“We are absolutely honoured and proud to be able to sponsor Houghton Athletic Under 7’s football team!
“It was a real joy to be present when they were given their new shirts…there were a lot of ‘Oh wow’ and ‘amazing’ and ‘cool’ from the boys and they were all thrilled to have not only new shirts but also tracksuit tops to wear.
I stayed for their first game in their new kits, which the boys won 5 – 2 and Kai O’Connor was named man of the match. We look forward to following their progress throughout the season.
We will also be present at their end of year awards evening where a trophy for The Nexus Fostering Parent’s Player of the Season Award 2019/2020 will be presented. The club will in return be displaying our banner at their home games and spreading the Nexus name on their own website.”
Charlotte O’ Connor, wife of the team’s manager and mother to one of the children said:
