We may not have had a great summer weather-wise, but we’ve more than made up for that with our fun filled days out!
Foster carers, children and young people across the Nexus regions have picnicked, paddled, bowled, barbecued and played their way through the summer months.
Recently, our London team had a fantastic trip to the seaside at Southend on Sea in Essex. Over 40 foster carers and children joined in the fun, playing on the beach, collecting pebbles and shells and enjoying a catch-up with each other! Freshly caught and cooked fish with tasty chips made a satisfying lunch to sustain everyone during the afternoon of rides such as the Viking Boat, Tidal Wave, Green Scream and The Dragon, plus our colleague, Karina, enjoyed pretending to be William Shakespeare!!
As a foster carer with Nexus, you will work from home, but you certainly won’t be lonely! Fostering gives you an instant social life, new friends and new opportunities!
